Welcome back to Evemtorres.com! As you can see {if not refresh your page} we have a new layout. The Thanksgiving one was up a little to long and with the Christmas Holiday I really had no time to make a new one until now. The shoot I decided to go with was “Green with Envy“. It’s one of my favorites of Eve. I hope you all enjoy the new look.

Eve and Rener went to Washington a few months back and here is the video of the seminar they gave to the women in the U.S. Air Force at the Joint Lewis-McChord Base.

As anyone paying attention to WWE’s flagship show will know, on last’s night’s Raw, new United States Champion Zack Ryder teamed up with WWE Diva Eve Torres to take on Tyson Kidd and Natalya in an intergender tag match.

The bout itself was short and rather paint-by-the-numbers (Ryder and Eve won), but afterwards there seemed to be some suggestion of a romance/flirtation between the two victors, with the two laughing together and the champion even letting the bubbly diva hold his U.S belt.

Interestingly, the two have also had some skits on WWE.com and Ryder’s show Z! True Long Island Story, with the former NBA dancer gently knocking back the geeky Internet sensation’s request for a date.

So what this angle, just a time-filler or a nod to fans of Z! True Long Island Story? Apparently not. Indeed, recent reports indicate this is going to be a new mid card angle on the flagship show, as LordsofPain note: “The storyline between Eve Torres and WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder is expected to continue for a few weeks at least.”

While this is surely a step up for the underused Eve, a cheesy mid-card romance angle could be seen as a demotion for cult sensation Ryder, the man was main eventing Raw last week and has been working regularly with John Cena after all.

Indeed, on this week’s free edition of Wrestling Observer Live Dave Meltzer suggested that Ryder’s new spot was down the disastrous rating of last week’s main event, which saw CM Punk, Ryder and Daniel Bryan take on Dolph Ziggler, The Miz and Alberto Del Rio. Meltzer’s remarks come at roughly the 17 minute mark in case anyone interested in listening:

This is actually stemming from last week’s rating, and the way they worked this week’s show..at the 10 O’clock and the 11 O’ clock (quarters) it was John Cena (in that position). Daniel Bryan was on the show, sure, but if you blinked you missed him. And Zack Ryder basically went from being in the main event to being in this new angle where he has got the hots for Eve Torres, which makes him into a pre-lim guy. You know even Punk didn’t get the main event spot. And in Chicago! You can see, definitely, the reaction to that rating.

Meltzer later noted: “That main event rating was not just something they ignored. You can see the reaction…everyone was hurt by that rating.” He also speculated that Raw’s obnoxious commentator, Michael Cole, was more calmed down this week due to a feeling backstage he was hindering the product rather than helping it (Cole regularly disparages the faces, particularly Ryder and Bryan, calling them geeks and losers).”

Eve Torres music hit and we are all surprise. It has kind of been awhile since we seen her on Raw. We don’t know until she gets into the ring that this is a mix tag match. A what? Yes you have read it right, it’s a guy/girl vs guy/girl. Now that we know this we kind of figured it’s Ryder, right? I mean from all the recent events and yes it’s him. He comes down next, they look at each other in the ring with smiles and it cuts to a commercial.

Back from the break and Ryder is starting off with Tyson Kidd as his partner Natalya looks on. Kidd strikes first and mounts an offense. Kidd runs into double knees from Ryder in the corner. Ryder with a dropkick and a pin attempt. Kidd tags in Natalya and in comes Eve. They go at it and Eve takes her to the mat. Eve booty pops and then hits a standing moonsault for a 2 count. Natalya kicks out and takes control of Eve, slamming her face into the mat.

Natalya kicks Eve around and goes for a Sharpshooter. Eve kicks her off and tags in Ryder. Ryder and Kidd go at it. Ryder with forearms and a slam to the mat. Ryder runs into a kick but connects with a sitdown powerbomb. Natalya breaks the pin. Eve dropkicks Natalya into the ropes and fist pumps with Ryder. They hit Broski Boots on Kidd and Natalya. Ryder hits the Ruff Ryder on Kidd for the win.

Winners: Eve Torres and Zack Ryder

They fist pump after the match and Ryder gives Eve his US Title for a second.

I shopped ’til I dropped this week! After about 10 hours of facing the crowds, the lines, and the snowy Denver weather, I got all the Christmas gifts and stalking stuffers I needed! It always seems to me that no matter how far we plan in advance, there’s always more to do!

Now that the stressful part is over, let the family fun begin!
